My Job
I have made it my mission to bring back the true meaning – and pride – behind being a lobbyist. I love telling people I’m a lobbyist and watching their reactions: a flicker of suspicion, quickly replaced by curiosity when I explain that I work only on projects that help the environment.
Lobbying, at its core, is about translation. We make EU rules, politics, and processes understandable for companies – and we make companies’ real-world challenges and solutions visible to policymakers.
I believe that lobbyists are more than just intermediaries; they are advisors with convictions. I am fortunate to work in a place where my personal values – and my professional mission – are fully aligned with those of my clients. But it’s not just luck: I simply could not be a lobbyist if I did not wholeheartedly believe in the causes I represent.
My Experience
I started my career as a competition lawyer but quickly realised it wasn’t the right fit. I wanted to be closer to action and impact. Advocacy felt like the natural next step, and it has been my professional home ever since.
Over the past 10 years, I have chosen to work in small consultancy firms, where I could stay true to the causes I care about and have a real say in the work I do.
For the past 5 years, I have been part of #SustainablePublicAffairs, where I’ve grown into a management role and have the chance to work alongside a team of smart, driven, and genuinely fun colleagues.
My Specialisms
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement is standing up for what I believe in – and helping others feel empowered to do the same. Throughout my journey, I have learned that staying true to my values, even when it’s not the easiest path, is what makes the work meaningful.
If I can encourage others to trust their instincts, use their voice, and stand tall for the causes they care about, then I know I’m doing something right.
My Education
Academically, I’m a qualified lawyer, certified by the Paris Bar School. I hold a Master of Laws from the College of Europe in Bruges. Before that, I completed a Master’s in European Business Law at the University of Paris Dauphine, building on a Diploma in Legal Studies from the University of Oxford.
All in all, I spent quite a few years hitting the books – but the real education began once I started working. No diplomas for that one, just a daily reminder that learning never really ends.
My Languages
French (mother tongue), English (working language), and Italian (language of the heart).
My Interests outside work
Outside of work, I’m passionate about reading, exploring new ideas, and connecting with people. I find endless inspiration in soul divas’ voices – there’s nothing like music to lift the spirit.
I’m also deeply committed to feminism and women’s empowerment – from devouring podcasts on the topic to building my own network to support and amplify women’s voices. Stay tuned!
My Favourite Brussels anecdote
Where else could a city turn a small boy peeing into a national treasure? Only in Brussels – where a bit of cheekiness can save the day and win hearts. Brussels has a unique spirit: a mix of humor, irreverence, and not taking life too seriously.
