My Job

I lead the Healthcare Policy & Advocacy practice at Hanover Communications in Brussels. Working across offices in Brussels, Dublin and London, I advise global life sciences organisations on European policy, advocacy strategies and policy communications. I help clients navigate complex policy environments, shape external strategies and build partnerships that improve both patient access to innovation and quality care, and support business goals.

My Experience

I have nearly 15 years of experience in European and global public affairs across consultancy, industry and trade associations. Before joining Hanover, I spent over a decade in policy and government affairs roles at Bristol Myers Squibb, Baxter and EFPIA.

At Baxter, I led European government affairs and policy initiatives across multiple healthcare portfolios, representing the company in key industry associations and engaging with policymakers on strategic health policy priorities. At Bristol Myers Squibb, I developed global policy and advocacy strategies across the portfolio, building strategic partnerships with organisations including the WHO, OECD, patient organisations and other leading health stakeholders to advance shared policy objectives.

Throughout my career, I have worked with governments, EU institutions, international organisations, patient groups and industry leaders to shape health policy, build multi-stakeholder coalitions and improve the policy environment for patient access to innovation.

My Specialisms

My Proudest Achievements

Helping build global policy partnerships that brought together organisations such as the WHO, OECD, patient advocates and industry around shared priorities for non-communicable diseases. I am particularly proud of creating collaborations that balanced patient access objectives with business strategy, proving that meaningful partnerships can accelerate policy change while improving patient outcomes.

My Education

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Social Sciences, complemented by training in Health Economics.

My Languages

English, Romanian, French, Spanish.

My Interests outside work

You’ll usually find me travelling or looking for my next adventure destination, exploring a good restaurant, architecture and design, or reading a good historical fiction or psychology book. When my energetic dog insists, I’m more than happy to swap city streets for a long walk in nature.

My Favourite Brussels anecdote

Brussels has a unique way of keeping life interesting. You can spend the morning discussing European policy reform, the afternoon navigating a farmers’ protest, and the evening sharing dinner with friends from around the world. It often feels like living in multiple countries all at once.
