My Job

Sharing my time between Brussels and London, I work across Burson’s Healthcare and Corporate & Public Affairs teams in EMEA to deliver value for clients navigating complex policy, reputation and business challenges in today’s fast-changing environment.

My Experience

I have 30 years of experience in international public affairs, including two decades in healthcare during which I held leadership roles in four global biopharmaceutical companies.

Before joining Burson in February 2026, I was Pfizer’s Vice President and Head of Global Markets Policy & Public Affairs. In this role, I advocated for Pfizer’s public policy positions and priorities across all international markets outside the US and oversaw Pfizer’s regional and country public affairs teams. Prior to Pfizer, I was Bristol Myers Squibb’s Vice President and Head of International Policy & Government Affairs, where I led a global team operating across multiple countries to influence the international policy landscape, manage high-impact legislative issues in key capitals and drive government engagement. Before joining BMS in 2019, I led international government affairs teams at Celgene and Shire, and I was Executive Director of European Biopharmaceutical Enterprises at EFPIA in 2026-2010. Earlier in my career, I served as chief executive of a Paris-based global oil and gas industry association, I ran a boutique consultancy and began my career in public affairs representing the European non-ferrous metals sector.

My Proudest Achievements

Forging and launching a global public-private partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to promote the use of modern cooking fuels in developing countries is one of my proudest achievements, given the positive social and environmental impact we had on local communities and this PPP’s contribution to the sustainable development policy agenda.

My Education

I have degrees in molecular biology and biotechnology from the Free University of Brussels (ULB and VUB) and received management education at Northwestern University in Chicago.

My Languages

English and French. If pressed, I get by in Spanish and Dutch.

My Interests outside work

I swim regularly, enjoy long hikes in nature, read books whenever I can and play the piano when I’m not spending time with family and friends.

My Favourite Brussels anecdote

Brussels is home as I have lived here for most of my life. For the anecdote, Place Lux was looking quite different before the Parliament was built above the train station in the late eighties. There were trams going around the square, the cafés had no terraces, and the neighbourhood was, well, not great.
