My Job
I work closely with the Head of Office and CEO in leading Vulcan’s Brussels office. I lead our trade and tariff, technology and renewables practice, working closely with our clients to assist them to navigate the EU’s complex legislative and political environment in order to achieve their public policy objectives, reduce regulatory risks and manage issues impacting on their operational businesses.
My Experience
I started my career at Ecommerce Europe, where, after my traineeship, I oversaw the online payments and digital innovations Committee working extensively on the Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2), instant payments, as well as digital and retail payments policy. Simultaneously, I worked on a broad range of energy, transport, and sustainability issues (PPWD, EPBD, ITS, EASA Basic Regulation) for a Brussels-based consultancy.
Prior to joining Vulcan Consulting in 2019, I managed the Public Affairs and Communications for the Irish Exporters Association at the hight of the EU-UK withdrawal negotiations, where I was responsible for all policy, and government relations aspects, including transport, international trade. At the time, I also dealt with the Trump administration’s first trade war and the EU’s response to the Section 232 steel and aluminium tariffs.
