My Job

I lead FGS Global’s European Healthcare Practice, advising pharmaceutical, biotech, and medtech companies at the nexus of innovation, policy, and patient access. What drives me is connecting breakthrough science with the people who need it most — helping clients transform regulatory complexity into strategic opportunity, shape policy environments, and build coalitions that deliver real world impact.

My Experience

I bring nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare, uniquely bridging government and public affairs with strategic communications and marketing communications – a rare combination that helps clients win in both the policy arena and the court of public opinion. Most recently, I spent time at Novo Nordisk leading government affairs and policy initiatives across Europe, including advocacy during Novo Nordisk’s EFPIA Presidency and driving the Pharma Package strategy. I’ve also headed the healthcare practice at SEC Newgate (formerly Cambre Associates), executing high-impact EU and global campaigns, and served as Head of Marketing Communications for Abbott Vascular EMEA. This blend of industry-side strategic leadership and agency-side campaign excellence means I understand what keeps healthcare executives up at night – and how to mobilize the right stakeholders to turn regulatory headwinds into competitive advantage.

My Specialisms

My Proudest Achievements

Two moments stand out. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I led a campaign addressing a silent crisis – patients suffering strokes and heart attacks were dying at home, too afraid to seek hospital care. Working directly with physicians who were watching preventable deaths unfold, we mobilized a multi-stakeholder effort that quite literally saved lives.
Second, I’m deeply proud of championing Europe’s research and innovation ecosystem at a critical inflection point – making the case to policymakers that safeguarding pharmaceutical manufacturing and clinical trials in Europe isn’t just about industry competitiveness, it’s about patient access, strategic autonomy, and Europe’s ability to respond to the next health crisis.
Both achievements reflect what drives me: turning complex challenges into clear narratives that move decision-makers and protect patients.

My Education

I studied European Studies and European Law at the University of Maastricht – part of the very first cohort of European Studies students, which either made us pioneers or guinea pigs. I chose these subjects because I wanted a career where I could impact people’s lives, and understanding how European policy is made felt like the key to unlocking that.

My Languages

Swedish and English; with a good understanding of Dutch, German, and Norwegian and Danish.

My Interests outside work

Good coffee, great books, and even better company – I’m happiest when I’m with friends and family or discovering something new. Right now, I’m in a “yes phase” – saying yes to new experiences, new challenges, and new perspectives. Life’s too short for bad coffee and missed opportunities.

My Favourite Brussels anecdote

Early in my career – fresh from a traineeship at the Council of the European Union – I once fired off a very short, direct email to what I thought was an MEP’s assistant, only to discover I’d written straight to the MEP himself. My manager nearly fell off her chair, and I was convinced I’d be fired on the spot.

Plot twist: From that day forward, the MEP communicated with me directly and even started reaching out proactively with questions. Turns out, cutting through the Brussels fluff and getting straight to the point is surprisingly effective.
