My Job

I am a Director in FIPRA’s Healthcare & Life Sciences Practice and part of the firm’s management team, advising clients on EU health policy, stakeholder engagement and public affairs strategy.

My Experience

I have worked in and around EU healthcare policy for more than 20 years, across industry, consultancy, non-profit organisations and politics. Over that time, I’ve had the chance to work on a wide range of health issues and therapeutic areas, from vaccines and rare diseases to HIV/AIDS, oncology and respiratory health.

What I enjoy most is helping people and organisations navigate complex policy environments and build constructive relationships, whether between industry, policymakers, patient organisations or other stakeholders. Healthcare policy in Brussels is rarely simple, but that is exactly what makes it interesting.

Throughout my career, I have focused on turning policy discussions into practical, workable approaches that support both innovation and patient access, while recognising the realities of healthcare systems and politics.

At FIPRA, I work with clients on EU healthcare advocacy, policy strategy and stakeholder engagement in an increasingly fast-moving and interconnected health landscape.

My Specialisms

My Proudest Achievements

Being part of the work around COVID-19 vaccination efforts during my time at Pfizer. It was an intense and extraordinary period for everyone working in health, and I feel fortunate to have contributed, alongside many others, to something that had such a tangible global impact.

My Education

  • Masters in History, Politics and Public Law, Heidelberg University

My Languages

English, German.

My Interests outside work

Outside work, I am happiest outdoors. Hiking, walking or generally following the philosophy that there is no bad weather, only bad clothing (ask my family!). I also love cooking for friends and family, especially long dinners where nobody is in a hurry to leave the table.

I enjoy travelling whenever possible, although I have to admit my hobbies are probably less unexpected hidden talents and more classic evolving around good food, nature and discovering new places. But I have decided to embrace the cliché.

My Favourite Brussels anecdote

One of the first things I learned in Brussels is that people here don’t measure how long they have stayed by years, but by the kilos gained through lunches, dinners, receptions and coffees. I always found that quite amusing. And not entirely untrue.
