My Job
I’m Director of Sustainability at FIPRA Public Affairs, advising clients on EU regulatory and policy strategy across climate, circular economy, competition, and industrial policy. I also contribute to firm-level strategy and business development.
My Experience
I help clients navigate the full arc of EU policymaking, from Commission proposal through trilogues, comitology and implementation, often where files cut across several DGs and political families. My work sits at the intersection of environment, competition, and industrial strategy: emissions trading and CBAM, the post-2035 automotive package, circular economy files (PPWR, ESPR, ELVR, SUPD), the Industrial Accelerator Act, and competition issues around territorial supply constraints and unfair trading practices, are a few examples of the files I work on.
I’m known for my ability to cut across the noise, and provide strategic steer to my clients, ensuring they can forge a path through an ever-volatile and unpredictable political and policy environment.
Before FIPRA, I was a Director at BCW Global, and before that, I was an Associate Director at NOVE Public Affairs. I have also worked in-house at an automotive supplier called Gestamp. Before that, I worked for European Family Businesses, a pan-European association that represents some of the largest family-owned firms in Europe.
My Proudest Achievements
Building high-performing teams, where trust and mutual respect are the cornerstones. Where people look out for each other and support one another in difficult times, and have a lot of fun in good times. Teams that can deliver first-class work, which is recognised by not just clients, but by industry and policy peers.
My Education
- University of Leeds, European Studies BA
My Languages
English and French.
My Interests outside work
Outside work, family is the centre of gravity. I have a passion for cooking, and I like to think that I could give Gordon Ramsey a run for his money. I love sports and staying active. I’m a keen golfer, although I’m not very good (19,2 handicap at the time of writing). I also love music, from opera to house. I’m also, unfortunately, a long-suffering supporter of Tottenham Hotspur.
My Favourite Brussels anecdote
I once played football against an MEP I’d had policy disagreements with for years. I would describe my tackles that day as both clean and crunchy.
