My Job
Based in Brussels, I support international clients across sectors, including technology, health, consumer goods, infrastructure, manufacturing, e-commerce, entertainment, and agriculture, in navigating the EU’s evolving political and regulatory landscape, alongside broader international developments.
I work closely with EU institutions, national governments, and multilateral organizations, helping clients understand what policy changes mean in practice and how to engage effectively. My role also includes leading client engagements, managing teams, and driving business development.
My Experience
I have developed my career across Latin America, the United States, and Europe, advising global organizations on complex policy, regulatory, and reputational challenges. My work includes providing senior-level counsel to executives, managing complex and sensitive engagements, and leveraging networks across government, multilateral institutions, and the private sector to support effective stakeholder engagement.
I spent over a decade at McLarty Associates in Washington, DC, advising multinational companies on geopolitical risk, trade, and international public affairs. I later led the first-ever multilateral engagement agenda and headed Latin America government affairs at RELX, a U.K.-based global leader in scientific, technical, and legal information and analytics.
Earlier in my career, I held senior institutional affairs roles at Walmart Brazil and the Brazilian Sugarcane Industry Association (UNICA) in São Paulo, focusing on regulatory engagement, sustainability, and industry advocacy.
My Specialisms
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest professional achievement has been building a career across Latin America, the United States, and Europe, and establishing myself as an international executive and woman leader working across cultures. Navigating different political systems, regulatory environments, and business contexts has required adaptability, resilience, and a strong ability to operate with nuance.
Working across both public affairs and public relations, I have focused on helping organizations balance business priorities with societal expectations, shaping how they engage with policymakers, stakeholders, and broader audiences.
I also place strong value on paying it forward, whether through mentoring, supporting teams, or contributing to the development of the next generation of professionals, bringing a perspective shaped by diverse cultural and professional experiences.
My Education
- Master of Arts in International Trade and Investment Policy (George Washington University, Washington, DC)
- Bachelor of Arts in Economics (Calvin College, Michigan)
My Languages
Portuguese, Spanish, English.
My Interests outside work
Spending time with my husband and our two children, travelling, and discovering new places, whether that’s exploring a different country /region or simply seeing a familiar city through fresh eyes.
My Favourite Brussels anecdote
As an expat, I quickly learned that Brussels weather is less about forecasts and more about mindset. You can experience all four seasons between breakfast and lunch, which makes layering less of a style choice and more of a survival strategy.
