My Job
I lead the work for several client accounts in the food and beverage sector. I actively oversee the development of public affairs strategies and outreach plans and advise clients on their positioning and strategic communications.
My Experience
I began my career in public affairs 15 years ago at Landmark Public Affairs, where I worked in various roles until I joined Edelman as Vice-President. During this time, I have steadily built expertise in advising corporate and trade association clients on the whole breadth of policy affecting the food and beverage sector. I have also had the opportunity to work with companies in the telecoms sector and to advise clients across sectors on horizontal issues such as corporate reporting and tax. Before coming to Brussels, I had completed an internship at the House of Commons in London.
My Specialisms
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement is having supported clients in understanding and addressing very fast-paced policy changes around corporate reporting. This has required in-depth expertise and precision, along with not losing sight of the big picture, while leading a tightly knit team of professionals.
My Education
- Master in British Studies (with focus on Economics, Law, and Politics) from Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany
- BA in Integrated Social Sciences from Constructor University, Bremen, Germany
My Languages
English, Spanish, French, German, Bulgarian.
My Interests outside work
I enjoy swimming and family time in the park.
My Favourite Brussels anecdote
As a young intern, I sat at the wrong place at an event. In my defence, there was a card with my name on it, and I didn’t imagine it would be a common name in Brussels. Thankfully, everyone present took it with a good dose of humour.
