My Job

I am Managing Director of Considerati in Brussels. I support clients at a strategy level on policy, regulatory and legal issues and build up a growing team of PA and legal consultants.

My Experience

As an Adjunct Professor at UC Law SF, Senior Research Fellow at MIAI, University of Grenoble and Advisor to Safer AI, I teach and research AI law & governance. Previously, I led Microsoft’s Responsible Tech and Competition team in Europe, accumulating vast experience in tech policy areas over 15 years. In preceding roles, I led the legal department of the European Consumer Organization and gained experience in a law firm, an association and the European Parliament.

My Proudest Achievements

Throughout my career, I have led important projects and contributed to key achievements that I am very proud of. What I’m proudest of, however, is building bridges between business, NGOs, and institutions-connecting technical details with the bigger picture to deliver creative policy solutions-and supporting talented people as they grow and succeed.

My Education

I am a qualified German lawyer, holding degrees from the University of Hamburg and the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow (LLM).

My Languages

German, English, French, Portuguese.

My Interests outside work

For the past 17 years, I’ve balanced a full-time career with raising my twins and their older brother. Now that they’re young adults, I’m enjoying more free time-reconnecting with old friends, focusing on my well-being (and my garden’s), and exploring new projects and interests that inspire me for the future, both in AI and in handicrafts.

My Favourite Brussels anecdote

While my career has spanned many major EU policy developments, historic enlargements and also some major crisis, what makes me smile are the smaller and personal memorable highlights along the way: being directly involved in-house in a landmark ECJ ruling on the free movement of workers, producing a music CD with 17 European musicians under a Creative Commons license, watching the Trump-Clinton debate in the US with a European Commissioner, or dining twice with Nobel Prize winners, to mention but a few.
